    Questions people ask

    How many files can I merge?

    There is no fixed limit. Very large sets depend on your computer's memory.

    Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

    Yes, if you know their passwords: you are asked for each one when it is added. The merged file has no password; add one with the Protect tool if needed.

    Are bookmarks kept?

    No. The merged file does not keep the original bookmarks (outline) or links that jump to another page. Web links are kept.
